Show Poms Dance & Cheer Teams, owned and operated by Jeanne Robinson, was established in 1994 in Midland, Texas. Show Poms is a non-competitive cheerleading organization for girls ages 4-12 designed to build their self-esteem and confidence while having fun. Our teams perform at local events around Midland throughout the school year.

With over 30 years of operation in the Midland community, we are proud to have connected over 2,500 young girls through cheer!

Registration Information

Register online now, 2026-2027 classes will begin September 1st!

Fees

Monthly tuition is $75 per month and is due the first week of the month. There is a $75 registration fee which includes a Show Poms t-shirt. A 10% discount is offered if you pay per semester or the entire year. We require a credit/debit card on file, which will auto-pay the first week of each month.

Tuition fees have been averaged to be the same amount each month regardless of holidays or bad weather. We will hold a few extra classes during the year to prepare for performances.

Class Information

2026 classes begin September 1st, and will follow the MISD School calendar through May. The girls attend class one day per week (varying by age group) and are instructed in cheer techniques, jumps, splits, stunts, and dance routines. Classes are divided into three age groups as follows:

Pre-School/Kindergarten – Blue Team

1st-2nd Grade – Red Team

3rd Grade – Purple Team

4h-6th Grade – Black Team

Class times vary from year to year.

Performance & Events Information

We perform at local events in Midland throughout the school. Our first event is at one of the local high school homecoming parades, where we ride on a flatbed trailer and cheer for the high school team along the parade route. Our first dancing performance generally occurs during early December. We then perform approximately every two months through the school year. The girls learn a new dance routine for each performance.

In past years we performed at various Christmas event in town, Midland College basketball game & halftime show, local high school events, and Rockhounds baseball games.

Jeanne Robinson

Founder

Jeanne was a cheerleader most of her life and has taught cheerleading since 1985.  She helped organize the Greater Midland Football League Cheerleading Board and served on it for 5 years.  She was also a judge for their cheerleading tryouts and was a coach for her daughters squads.

Dominique Valentino

Assistant Coach

Dominique began dancing during her sophomore year of high school. By her senior year, she had become an officer on the LHS Dolls dance team. During her junior year, she visited Show Poms with the LHS Dolls. She enjoyed the experience and asked if we were hiring. She has been an assistant coach ever since.
